Visiting Santa at Weymouth Sealife Centre *

3,699 total views, 3 views today

Hello! Long time no speak, life has just been crazy lately and to be honest still is! December is absolutely manic for us – we had our baby shower, J’s 7th birthday, Pete’s birthday and of course all the Christmas festivities – plus awaiting the arrival of our next little one in just 4 weeks!! CRAZY!

Anyway I’m coming to you today with a festive post! As you may or may not know I am a blogger brand ambassador for Weymouth Sealife Centre * which they very kindly gifted us each annual passes for the year so we could visit whenever we like and review their upcoming events! (However for this post we did pay to visit Santa, but our day tickets have been gifted.)

Weymouth sealife is such a brilliant day out, there is plenty to see and do and you can absolutely make a day of it (especially in Summer with their play Park & splash park!) We headed over last Sunday around lunch time and had a wander around all the animals!

My absolute favourite are the fairy penguins! They are so tiny and SO cute!

Before we knew it, it was time to see the big man himself – this year you are given a golden ticket for each child and when it’s your time slot an elf comes to meet you in the cafe. I feel this year is so much better than last year (we loved last year don’t get me wrong!) but it was made into more of an experience this year, J followed the lights with the elf who led us into their shipwrecked building and talked to J about some of their fish in there. J couldn’t wait to put all his clownfish knowledge to good use. We then got passed through to two more elves who led us to Santa’s grotto – not before a walk through the Christmas trees and making wishes in the snow before entering the cosiest cabin with Father Christmas himself!

J can be get very shy when he meets Father Christmas, but he put him at ease and asked him lots of questions! A truly magical experience, and after 2 years I’d be very reluctant to go elsewhere for our Santa visit! Plus the presents the kids get are always excellent and things from the shop. J was made up over his new ‘Dory’ teddy and couldn’t figure out how Santa knew he wanted that one.

If you haven’t booked your visit yet this year, or looking for inspo for next year already I would urge you to book for Weymouth! An excellent day out, and memorable Christmas trip! X
