If you’ve read my last post you’ll know I love to host, and I love adding all the finer details to make an occasion, event or date night extra special.
Date night, we try to make an effort for date nights, (especially now we have two children!) of course lockdown and Covid-19 has made date night that little trickier, so we’ve been having to think outside the box a little… So that brings us to last week.

A back yard cinema. We have never done this, but had a projecter that we’ve never used and had the idea to set this up. Honestly by far one of my favourite date nights we’ve ever had, and so easy to set up.

The key to an outdoor cinema is a projector (obviously!) we then streamed Grease off of the laptop and had speakers plugged in. (Please tell me I’m not the only one who quotes the entire of the film throughout?) I hung a plain white sheet off of the fence and surrounded it with fairy lights – doesn’t everything look so much more magical with fairy lights? The finishing touches lots of cosy blankets and SNACKS! Of course! Which brings me nicely to the Bon Bon Boys who very kindly provided us with one of their ‘classic one’ sweet boxes.

You get a 9″ pizza box filled to the brim of sweets, and having pick and mix again felt so nostalgic, especially with a few old favourites; foam bananas, giant Strawbs and of course the huge snake (just to name a few). I also want to say how amazing the watermelon slices and the gummy snails are! Um hello!
The Bon Bon Boys, are a local business in Bournemouth, and do free delivery for most BH postcodes, however if you’re not local you can still enjoy as they do nationwide delivery for a little extra.

Not only do they offer a classic sweet selection, there is also a retro box and a vegan box, so no one has to miss out. Prices start at £10.95 and this would make an excellent gift or a little treat yourself. We were very kindly Gifted the classic box to try and review, but I really would recommend, and will definitely be buying a box for my son’s birthday.
One of my favourite nights we’ve had for a long time, and I’ve got two girlfriends coming round next weekend to watch selling sunset ‘on the big screen.’ (anyone else obsessed?!)
A huge thank you to the Bon Bon Boys for the complimentary box, as I said it was gifted, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Talk to you next time xo
