The end to another month is already here – HOW!? How are we nearing June? Madness! Anyway I thought today’s post could be a little round up of some of the things that I’ve been enjoying and reaching for a lot this month! I don’t normally do favourites, but thought I would give it a whirl this month especially as I want to share the goodies with you!
Lets start with a firm favourite – two pieces of jewellery I purchased from a local blogger called Jess, who has opened up her own shop called roses and whiskey. She makes the most gorgeous crystal necklaces as well as other pieces like earrings and necklaces for men and woman. I picked out two rainbow flourite crystals – both different colours, one more greeny and purple and one thats clear with some aqua running through. Absolutely gorgeous!
I also love that Jess writes little descriptions under each post so you know what the crystals do. For example under mine she wrote ‘Green Flourite aids access to intuition. It will ground and absorb excess energy and help cleanse your soul’. I love that! Definitely go check out her Instagram which I’ve linked above! Beautiful quality jewellery for a very affordable price!
Next is a cleanser I have been using every single day since I got it! I was invited down to the body shop in West Quay Southampton along with Southampton bloggers in March to go and see some of their new products! And this was one of them. The oils of life cleansing oil-in-gel. I have combination skin in that it gets very oily, and its common misconception that you shouldn’t put oil on oily skin. Not true! The oil actually sticks to any other oils which helps clear it! This like i said earlier, is an oil in gel. This means you put it onto dry skin as an oil, massage it on, add a little water which then turns into a foaming gel cleanser! I cannot get enough of this stuff, it has cleared up my skin so much and I already need to re-purchase. A definite favourite!
Whilst on the subject of the Body shop, I also picked up this beauty whilst I was in store. I LOVE a good face mask – and spotted this one! A skin clearing clay mask – sounds like a winner, and it really is. When I find some skincare products I really love, I hold on tight to them! You apply a layer over your face, its quick drying but doesn’t feel tight on your skin, and then wash it off. It recommends you do this once or twice a week. And sometimes I get Pete to put it on with me – It makes your skin feel that good!
Now its more summery – I have been loving the blue nail polish’s a lot recently. Most recent blue is the PS primark nail polish at the end, I believe the colour is ink blue and I am OBSESSED with it. As well as the primark nail polish, I am still loving and probably always will love the Barry M Nail paints. They are by far my favourite brand to use, especially their gelly hi shine range!
A very recent purchase whilst perusing the makeup isles in Superdrug is this L’oreal paris infailible contour stick. I love contour but have never been very good it at. I can never find a shade that suits me as i’m very pale, and it always ends up more bronze than I wanted. Until I found this, I have the shade 200 – Honey, which is the perfect contour shade, and SO easy to blend, it makes it so easy and I’ve found contouring isn’t actually scary at all! They also come in a so many different shades, for foundation and blushers!
The last product I’m going to talk about is this beyond GORGEOUS pallet from Revolution. I am a big fan of revolution makeup – especially the pallets, I have so many including a gorgeous highlight pallet that I reach for most days! Initially it was the outside of the pallet that drew me to it – I mean look how sparkly it is! The colours in this are absolutely stunning, and I don’t have any colours like this for my eyes. The pigmentation is ridiculously good, and the staying power of it lasts all day! I am a firm fan of Revolution, and urge you to try it if you haven’t already, or just browse their pallets next time your in superdrug.
I hope you enjoyed this post, a little insight to some products I’ve been loving, and maybe some that you might have a look at that wouldn’t have thought about before. See you Sunday for another post. Bye Loves! XO
