Harbour Cruise in Poole

What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than in the sun sailing around! I was very kindly invited down to Poole harbour and have a complimentary cruise with city cruises along with some Bournemouth bloggers. Even though I’ve lived around the Dorset area for my entire life, it’s quite rare that I venture into Poole, so I was looking forward to having a different view from the water.

Poole’s Harbour cruises have a couple of different tours including the Jurassic tour and the one we did which was a little over an hour, starting from Poole Quay viewing different places including Sandbanks and ‘the golden mile’ where all the beautiful houses are, Plus around Brownsea Island.

They also offer drinks and snacks on board inside, so if the weathers not amazing you can still take in the views, but instead from inside with a cuppa, or if the suns out with a cheeky glass of prosecco to sip whilst admiring the scenery.

It was so lovely taking in the views, taking lots of pictures and getting to catch up with everybody. Seeing how much of a beautiful place we live in makes me feel so lucky, and how I should really take advantage of living by the sea more!

The Captain also relayed some facts and history whilst we were sailing, which is great if you’re unfamiliar to the area ( especially like me – who’s lived in Dorset my whole life, but doesn’t know that much about the area – particularly Poole.)

I had such a lovely time sailing around, and think my son Jay would LOVE it, I am so looking forward to booking ourselves in on the Jurassic coast tour. I would fully recommend going for a lovely afternoon out on the water, and something a little bit different to do on a weekend!

Big thank you again to City cruises and Bournemouth Bloggers for the invitation!
