Côte Brasserie Taste & Review Event – Bournemouth

When I received the email asking if I would like to go to a taste and review event at the new Côte Brasserie In Bournemouth, I felt immediately excited being a HUGE foodie anyway, & I love trying new places. I have never eaten at any of the Côte restaurants before so was looking forward to trying some delicious food and mingling with other bloggers.

Bournemouth has quite a few restaurant options especially with the new BH2 complex, however having Côte Brasserie I think is a wonderful addition with their beautiful french cuisine.

I arrived and was quickly showed to our table upstairs where the table was all set with a glass of bubbly each and some amazing looking nibbles. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, and we also got given some calamari and a plate of Tuna Carpaccio – sliced, lightly seared raw yellow fin tuna, which was absolutely divine.

Once everyone had arrived we were introduced to their chef, who told us a little bit about the restaurant and the menu, as well as mentioning their menus cater for vegetarians and gluten free. I didn’t know what to choose to eat, as the whole menu sounded delicious. I decided on calamari to start – being one of my favourites, and it certainly didn’t disappoint, and again the presentation throughout the meal was beautifully done.

For main I couldn’t decide between steak or the roast duck breast – I am definitely one that gets food envy so when a lot of the girls decided on the steak I was very close to getting the same, however I decided to try something different and ordered the duck breast & gratin potato with a Griottine cherry sauce. I cannot rave about this enough, the duck was cooked to perfection. Definitely a dish I will be ordering again.

Even though I was full to the brim, I couldn’t say no to a dessert (Its a different stomach anyway right!?) I was immediately drawn to the Tarte au Citron. I swapped the creme fraiche with some vanilla ice cream, and it was amazing. A perfect end to a wonderful evening.

The restaurant itself looked beautiful and elegant set over 2 floors with its own outdoor balcony where you can sit and have a drink whilst watching the sun go down, as well as fantastic menu which I could have eaten everything off it. I cannot wait to bring my friends and family and enjoy an evening here, I also spied a fantastic looking breakfast menu. I can’t recommend Côte Brasserie more and hope to visit again very soon.

*I have been given the photos of the restaurant to use for my post however the photos of the food are my own. The meal was also complimentary but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
