At the beginning of this year Pete & I bought us and Jacob merlin passes. A merlin pass gives you access to all the merlin parks and sites as many times as you like over one year, this includes Legoland, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, London Dungeons, London Eye and the list goes on. We thought now would be the best time to get one before Jacob starts school in September and we’re then limited to school holidays only.
Our first trip using our passes was Legoland, and our next stop was Chessington world of adventures. I remember going here as a kid so I have very fond memories, and it did not disappoint. Chessington has something for everyone. A zoo, sealife, animal encounters, toddler rides, rides for the older ones, soft play & lots of choices of food! A great day out for everyone!
Jacob really enjoyed the scorpion express roller coaster, and is getting braver with rides each time we go somewhere. Unfortunately he wasn’t tall enough for the log flumes or the other coasters but he went on everything he was allowed too. Another favourite was the sea storm boats!
I loved the Zufari – Which is a safari truck that takes you round the giraffes, rhinos, flamingos and more.
I also have to mention that last time I went ( which was a long time ago) they had the bubbleworks ride which has now been turned into the gruffalo ride, which is absolutely fab! The theme is beautiful and as you travel on boats the story gets told to you with huge props and water fountains!
A wonderful day that i couldn’t recommend enough and we can’t wait to be visiting again later in the year! Here are a few more pictures i took and below i have linked the vlog on my youtube channel of our day!
