Be a VIP at Hollywood Bowl

3,237 total views, 3 views today

At the beginning of the week I was lucky enough to be invited down to Hollywood Bowl at Tower park Poole with my son Jacob and some other fellow Bournemouth bloggers and their kids.

Hollywood Bowl have recently set up a VIP area that you can book for parties,or just if you want to make your bowling trip a bit different. This includes two booths set up in the middle of the bowling alley decked out with red curtains and barriers for privacy, neon VIP lighting and two rows of black sofas, and we were very excited to try and for a night of bowling with our little ones!

We were brought some drinks and began our game of bowling. The kids had their own lane and were eager to enter their names onto the machines. The staff were very prompt bring jugs of juice for the kids and drinks for us and checking back to see if we wanted refills quite regularly.

We have taken Jacob bowling plenty of times so he was already familiar with it, but he absolutely loved having a private booth. He felt so special being in the VIP area, and I loved feeling like we had the entire bowling alley to ourselves.

It was so lovely to see the kids make new friends with each other and enjoy seeing how many pins they could get down. It was a really lovely experience.

We were also able to get some dinner off their menu, most of us went for the burgers and chips! and yum they were so good, I would also definitely recommend the onion rings! There was plenty to pick from and they have a great kids menu selection, plus the service was great and speedy. Another praise for the staff was the pins got stuck a couple of times, but they were quick to fix the problem, and came over to check everything was okay and explain the situation.

Obviously the main attraction is bowling, but they have a huge dining area including pool tables and a table and chairs in the shape of a car which Jacob thought was very cool! They also have a very large arcade area, where a lot of the games focus on a ticket system where you can win prizes at the end. Hollywood bowl also very kindly gave us a couple of tokens each to play on some of the arcade games.

We had such a wonderful evening, and I absolutely loved the VIP Package, so much so I would definitely consider booking it for Jacob’s birthday, not only that but a great idea as the summer holidays are just around the corner!

If you want to book you can find all the details here at Hollywood Bowl

A huge thank you to Hollywood bowl for inviting us down for the evening, and to Emma from Bournemouth Bloggers for organising!

*I was invited along to this event in return for a review afterwards, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
