Alphabet dating – B is for …

So you may know if you read my blog regularly that myself and my husband Pete are discovering the world of alphabet dating and we’re bringing you along for the ride with some different dating ideas that you might not have thought of. So as the alphabet would suggest we have completed our ‘A’ date (we did a few A’s!) and you can read that Here.

BOAT TRIP *-

Our B date was very kindly gifted to us by city cruises Poole! Now boat trip could come on many forms, speed boat, pedalo, ferry to the Isle of Wight but in our case it was a cruise around Poole harbour, and we made our date into a family date and brought our son along for the afternoon too!

Now I’ve actually done this city cruise before last summer with the Bournemouth bloggers you can find that post Here but I was so looking forward to Pete and J experiencing it with me this time – as well as J being a huge fan of boats so he was very excited.

We went on quite a cold day and a day before a storm happened so was a little choppy, but it honestly didn’t dampen our experience, plus you have the option to sit inside and grab yourself a cuppa. However we’re hardy enough and preferred to sit outside for the majority.

We had the harbour cruise but unfortunately due to the weather weren’t able to do the full usual route where you go around brownsea island, instead we went past then back on ourselves along sandbanks and had a slight detour back past the dock and down to see the sunseeker boats!

As well as looking out and seeing the views you get to hear about where you are and what you’re looking by the captain through the speakers around the boat. Plus you get a little nosey at all the beautiful houses on the sandbanks stretch.

Such a fun idea for an afternoon out, and we even finished our date with fish and chips by the dock! What a brilliant Saturday, and I would 100% recommend City cruises, for those who haven’t visited Poole before, or even if you’re local – it’s nice to get a different perspective on where we live and what better way than to sail through!

A few more ‘B’ date suggestions

  • Bowling
  • Baking
  • Bingo
  • Back yard cinema
  • Banger racing
  • Bungee run
  • Bungee jumping
  • Bike ride
  • Board games
  • Brewery tour

I hope this has giving you some ideas for your next date and given you an insight into our boat trip b date! Stay tuned for alphabet dating – C is for …

See you then! Xo

*City cruises very kindly gifted us a family ticket for their harbour cruise in exchange for this blog post. All thoughts and opinions are all my own.
