A couple of weeks ago, Pete and I were invited out for a review dinner at Kala Thai. I hadn’t heard of Kala Thai before, but my goodness I’m glad I’ve found it, a new Thai restaurant in Bournemouth featuring locally sourced products and glamourous cocktails!

This was Pete and I’s first date night since before George was born this January, so of course a little cocktail was in order. A kiwi bramble caught my eye, and it was delicious!
We were given plenty of space with tables being kept free in between for social distancing, and the restaurant itself was decorated beautifully along with the choice to sit indoors or outdoors.

The menu was filled with so much amazing sounding food we decided to have a mix and match with starters to try a few dishes out. We ordered the calamari, duck spring rolls and the tempura vegetables.

The calamari was beautifully done, perfectly crispy tempura batter on the outside paired with a chilli mayonnaise dip!

The duck spring rolls were definitely a personal favourite, and I would recommend ordering! And then the tempura veg – onions, Peppers, asparagus and mushrooms. Delicious!

Then for mains I went for the chicken pad Thai. A huge portion that was mouthwatering! One of the best pad Thai’s I’ve tried!

Pete being a huge steak lover went for one of the house specials – the weeping tiger ( a Thai style steak) with a side of chips. The steak was cooked to P e r f e c t i o n – marinated in Cumin, coriander and Thai dark rum.

A beautiful meal, and I can’t wait to revisit Kala Thai again in the near future! I would definitely recommend for delicious and authentic Thai food.
A huge thank you to Kala Thai and Jackie at Route PR for setting up this review meal for us! This post was in return for a review. All photos and opinions are my own! XO
