When Jacob was a baby, I had some complications with my epidural which meant I couldn’t have him in a carrier on me, so when Amawrap got in touch about their wraps, I couldn’t wait to try one out once baby George had arrived.

I chose the Moroccan star pattern baby sling which is not only pretty to look out, but fits in with a lot of my clothing. The wrap its self is just one long piece of fabric, which when it arrived did feel a little daunting on how to tie it correctly – but after watching Amawrap’s instructional video it is very simple to put on in just a few moves and feels very secure with George in it.

The school run and dog walks felt a little daunting with juggling the lead, pram and all the book and pe bags I would usually get handed after coming out of school – the Amawrap has become a bit of a lifesaver as I then have all my hands free and George is happily snuggled into my chest.

I’ve also worn it down the beach whilst walking Luna, if you’ve battled dragging the pram along the sand, then you will definitely share my joy with just how effortless and easy the wrap makes it.

We’ve also tried to make it as samey as possible for Jacob, still doing all the fun things we did before George came along, and that includes crazy golf. The baby wrap made it that we could all go together, I didn’t have to dump the pram somewhere and George was happily napping on me for the full hour so we could get in some quality Jacob time.

I have a little one that loves being held close, he’s a lot calmer but I don’t always have the time to hold him and jiggle him constantly – especially with already having a 7 year old who also needs my attention, so this wrap has made it I can still get on – whether that’s putting the hoover round, walking round the shops or taking the dog out, the amawrap has honestly made life that little bit easier, not only that but I love babywearing. I love feeling him against me and the bond it gives us as he grows. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough!
